Cleveland man killed in motorcycle crash on SH 321

A heartbreaking accident early Friday morning, July 18, took the life of a 23-year-old Cleveland man on SH 321 near CR 2344.

According to Sgt. Rob Willoughby, supervisor with the Texas Department of Public Safety in Liberty County, the crash happened around 6:22 a.m.

Eighteen-year-old Tana Nicole Wortham, of Cleveland, was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima northbound on SH 321. Riding close behind her on a 2004 Honda Shadow motorcycle was a young man she knew well.

Willoughby said that at one point, the motorcyclist texted Wortham to say he was running low on gas. Wanting to help, she pulled onto the shoulder and tried to make a U-turn to head back toward a gas station. But as she turned, she pulled directly into the motorcycle’s path.

The motorcyclist had no time to react. The bike crashed into the side of her car, and he was killed on impact.

The name of the motorcyclist has not been released pending the notification of his kin.

  1. How come she wasn’t arrested or charged. The family was notified so why does your story say pending next of kin. Apparently the DPS Sgt doesn’t have his facts straight to even give a true statement of what happened.

    • Since you were there and were fully involved in the investigation why don’t you tell us why the driver wasn’t arrested or charged? I’m sure you have all the information that the DPS Sgt. had during your investigation with him, don’t you? Or are you just some loudmouth jackass that feels they have to interject their opinions into everything?

Someone died here you stupid MF. STFU and stop shooting your mouth off about things that don’t need your personal inspection and approval. People like you shouldn’t be allowed to drive or reproduce.

  2. To behind with ig was said that he was her fiance and the next paragraph or do it said they were married then it was a faulty marria
