MCSO: Fentanyl distributor pleads guilty following joint investigation

Velasquez-Nikki Saadia Porter, a 36-year-old Houston man, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute nearly 200 grams of fentanyl.

The successful prosecution highlights the critical role of interagency collaboration, with the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET) assisting in the investigation.

MOCONET worked in close partnership with the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration to identify and disrupt Porter’s fentanyl distribution operation.

The investigation began in 2023, targeting fentanyl distribution and overdose incidents in the Houston area, where Porter operated a narcotics distribution point out of a local motel room.

The case was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces operation, which focuses on dismantling high-level drug trafficking organizations through a multi-agency, intelligence-driven approach.

Porter remains in custody and faces up to 40 years in prison and a maximum $5 million fine at sentencing, scheduled for Oct. 2.

In a statement regarding the guilty plea, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to working with federal partners to combat drug trafficking and safeguard the community.
