Rodger England Gunnels passed away July 16, 2025. He was born Sept. 3, 1999, to parents Darrell and Tara Gunnels.
Rodger is preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Texas Deliah Gunnels, and Judy Miller; great-grandfather, Robert Pete Ozan; grandfathers: Rodger Dale Gunnels and Jerry Patat; cousin, Dylan Shay Gunnels.
Rodger is survived by his fiancé, Bryce Hankinson; son, Maverick; bonus son, Elijah; parents, Darrel and Tara Gunnels; brothers, TJ Gunnels and wife Nickie, Cameron Gunnels and wife Jaylee; sister, Karizma Gunnels; grandmothers, Gloria Guidry and husband Art, Janice Gunnels, Tammy Ozan, Cheryl Patat, Diane Caskey; nieces and nephews, Hadley, Everett, and Jameson; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services for Rodger will be held on Sunday, July 20, at Cornerstone Church with visitation from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and his service beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor James Holt and Pastor Timothy Magee will officiate.
