MCSO urges possible victims to come forward after sexual assault attempt

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division, Persons Crimes Unit, in collaboration with deputies assigned to The Woodlands, has arrested 24-year-old Marlon Montenegro Borges following an attempted sexual assault investigation.

The incident occurred July 17, when Borges allegedly exposed himself after pushing down a woman on a public walking trail in The Woodlands, Texas. A nearby resident quickly provided deputies with the suspect’s vehicle registration, which proved invaluable in identifying Borges.

That information led to his arrest during a traffic stop conducted by deputies on July 22. Borges was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was charged with attempted sexual assault, a third-degree felony. He is being held on a $100,000 bond, along with an ICE detainer.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to determine if there are additional victims. Anyone with information about similar incidents involving Marlon Montenegro Borges is urged to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 281-297-6565 and reference case No. 25A215386. Your information could help identify other victims and prevent future harm.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the community and bringing justice to victims of violent crime.
