Paul Michael Van Gilder was born on Nov. 3, 1961, in Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to parents Paul Oliver Van Gilder and Ethyl Mae (Petrie) Van Gilder. He passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 63.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Paul (Bud) and Ethyl Van Gilder; brother Robert Banks; sister Leslie Logan; brother Mark (Steve) and sister-in-law Karen Van Gilder; and nephew Christopher Van Gilder.
He is survived by mother Bessie Van Gilder; son David Van Gilder; daughter-in-law Stephanie Van Gilder; sisters Belinda Spence and husband John, Debbie Graham and husband Gene; brother Greg Banks and wife Barbara; niece’s Bridget Miller and husband Nick, Elizabeth Porter and husband Stacy, Ashley Johns and her husband Eric, Tasha Carmack and husband Josh, Brooke and Brianna Spence; nephews Eric Van Gilder and wife Kaela, Benjamin Logan and wife Becci; great-nieces and nephews Matthew Van Gilder, Katie Van Gilder, Angelica Van Gilder, Abby Lester, Sailor Van Gilder, Rowen Johns, Harper Carmack.
A memorial service will be held in Paul’s honor on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating.
