Robert William “Billy Bob” Heflin Sr. was born July 5, 1953, in LaGrange, Ga., to parents, Thomas Vanell Heflin and Juanita Mackey Heflin. He passed away Aug. 2, 2025, in Dayton, Texas, at the age of 72 years.
Billy Bob worked as a longshoreman for 34 ½ years and he worked for ILA 28. He worked for the Billings Co., Young Co., Fairway Co., Mearsk Co., Port of Houston BC, and finished in Bayport. He also spent a few years as a truckdriver and a crane operator. He loved being outdoors especially hunting or you could often find him working in his shop on his 1930 Model A.
Billy Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Vanell and Juanita Heflin; his high school sweetheart and wife, Victoria Dell Henderson Heflin; grandson, Victor John Silvia; brothers, Thomas Steven Heflin and Danny Dorsey Heflin. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Billie Victoria Heflin; beloved son, Robert William Heflin Jr. and wife Angel Heflin; sister, Anita Carol Guillory and husband Les Guillory; grandchildren, Pennie Elaine Heflin and Julie Montana Heflin; nephews, Thomas Heflin and Kalin Heflin; nieces, Jessica Heflin, Kylie Myhand, Kylisha Poe, and Krystal Holloway.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Williamson is officiating.
