
Barbara Ann Jack, 74, of Beaumont, Texas, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on July 30, 2025, surrounded by love and faith.
Services are Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at New Bethel Baptist Church (Cheek Community) 9327 Lawhon Rd., Beaumont, Texas, 77713. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until Funeral at 11 a.m.
Barbara Ann Jack was born April 13, 1951, in Ville Platte, La.
Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, Barbara shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Remson ‘’Rick’’ Jack Sr. Together, they built a strong, faith-filled family and a lasting legacy of love.
She is survived by devoted husband: Remson “Rick” Jack Sr., children: Eric Jack (Janice), Remson Jack Jr. (Dawn), Catita Shermak (Jeff), Kizzy Jack-Brydson (Charlie), Alicia Batiste, Kenise ‘’Keke’’ Franklin, Kenneth Batiste, and Timothy Batiste; her siblings: Brenda Batiste, Linda Lablue (Peter), Chrissie Cooper, Holly ‘’Buffy’’ Johnson , and Patrick Cooper; Grandchildren: Anna, Deja, Stephanie, Helen, Heather, Kelli, Trenton Jr., Titus, Sierra, Eric Jr., Quincy, Elijah, and Darius; and 10 cherished great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her 3 uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and a multitude of beloved church family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Batiste and Mervia Ardoin, her daughter Bobbie Jean Scott, her siblings Helen Batiste, Norris “Fat” Batiste, Johnny Batiste, and her precious granddaughter Savannah-Belle.
Though she held several occupations throughout her life, Barbara’s greatest joy and calling was being a stay-at-home wife, nurturing mother, loving grandmother, and devoted “Gigi.” She was a proud graduate of Hardin Jefferson High School and a faithful member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Cheek, where her presence, prayers, and warmth touched many.
Barbara loved cooking and was known far and wide for her incredible meals and nurturing hospitality. She enjoyed cleaning, watching soap operas and game shows, staying up on current news events, traveling, playing bingo, and bowling. Above all, she cherished quality time with her family and friends. A true fashionista with a heart full of grace, Barbara was always there for anyone who needed her, offering love, strength, and support without hesitation.
Her unwavering faith, radiant spirit, and deep love for her family will be missed beyond words but carried on in every life she touched. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” — Matthew 25:21
