Margaret Ruth Wilkinson Juliuson

Margaret Ruth Wilkinson Juliuson, age 84, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

Margaret was born on Aug. 4, 1941, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late Odell and Marvin Wilkinson. A selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she lived a life of resilient compassion and loved her family and friends with spirit, sass, and unwavering affection. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening, but her greatest joy was simply spending time with her family and grandkids. In her younger years, she loved the lake and water skiing, with a contagious enthusiasm she passed on to her girls and grandkids. The lake was her happy place, where she spent many summers teaching countless others to waterski, before filling their bellies with her famous fried chicken.

Margaret, along with husband Charles, built a life through unwavering support of each other in all aspects of life. From early days of dental school, to child-rearing, and running the dental practice together, they were each other’s foundation.

Margaret was the strength and heartbeat of her family—steadfast, selfless, and full of love for her own and anyone she counted as family. She was a mother and Mimi to all who entered her home, not just her own family. It was a common joke with family and those her knew her best, that if you sat still long enough around Mimi, you’d be fed or put to work. No one ever left her home without enjoying her delicious Southern home-cooking or made-from-scratch desserts, served with a generous helping of her signature, sassy charm, tough love, and honest advice.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Odell Wilkinson and sister, Dorothy Wilkinson Cook. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving husband of more than 65 years, Dr. Charles Frank Juliuson; daughters Shelley Juliuson Fannin and husband Jon, and Cody Juliuson Farmer and husband Ricky; grandchildren Josh Fannin, Katelyn Fannin, and Camille Kelly; brother-in-law, Robert Cook; and niece Kimberly Cook Happ; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Services for Margaret will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas 77535, with Bro. Jeff Day officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. A graveside and committal service will follow in Palms Memorial Park in Dayton, Texas.

Margaret’s legacy of love, hospitality, and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
