Cynthia Louise Pace-Evans

Cynthia Louise Pace-Evans was born July 31, 1954, in Shreveport, La., to parents, Earl Jack Merritt and Doris Laverne Lewis Merritt. She passed away Aug. 20, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 71.

Cynthia retired after many years working in the Radiology field. Her greatest joy in life was for her family. She treasured all the memories of spending holidays with them or just having them come over and visit. She loved being a grandmother to Serena and a great-grandmother to Dawson. Cynthia will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and loved her.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Jack and Doris Laverne Merritt; beloved husband, Terry Otis Evans; beloved daughter, Windy Gail Pace; sisters, Eloise LaBorde, Earline Krous, and Elizabeth Parker; brothers, Roger Merritt and J.L. Merritt.

She is survived by her beloved son, Butch Phillips and wife Linda; beloved brother, Boby Raymond Merritt; beloved granddaughter, Serena Nicole Pace; beloved great-grandson, Dawson Ray Pace; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Allbritton officiating. Burial will follow in Farley Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be, Ray Kirkpatrick, Butch Phillips, JP Shirley, Daniel Dotson, Ethan Aills, and Curtis Twardeski.
