On January 31, 1982, our beloved Raudrin Le Glenn Cooper was born in Longview, Texas to Glenn Ray and Erma Cooper. The family later moved to Silsbee, Texas where Raudrin grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and community. He graduated from Silsbee High School in 2001.
Raudrin was a man of faith who gave his life to Christ at an early age. On March 24,1996 Raudrin was baptized by Rev. Daryl Price at Green Pine Missionary Baptist Church. He served faithfully at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Spindletop in Silsbee until his health declined. He was an incredible bowler, often bringing home first-place trophies for the Special Olympics Tri-County bowling team.
Raudrin lived a life filled with joy and simple pleasures. He loved traveling, fishing, bowling, playing video games, and bingo. He enjoyed spending quiet evenings watching his favorite shows-Gunsmoke, Heartland and Swamp People. And when football season came around, you could find him cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Raudrin departed this life on Wednesday night, August 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chadd Le Jon (Kaleb) Cooper; his uncle, Wilfred L. Cooper; his grandparents, Will and Lula Cooper and Roosevelt and Pheleneice Busby, and his aunt Wanda Cooper Hall.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his parents, Glenn Ray and Erma Cooper; his sisters, Ashanti Cooper Peterson, Sharonell C. Cooper, and DeMitra Butler; his brother, Fredrick Cooper (Jessica); his nieces, Winter and Willow Peterson; his uncle, Ralph Davenport; his aunts, Doretha Cooper Scurry (James), Feleicia Cooper, Carolyn Mayo (Henry Jr.), Wanda Davis and Erie Wortham (Willie); his great uncle, Burke Cooper and a large circle of family and friends who will miss him deeply.
Raudrin’s laughter, love, and light touched everyone he met. Though his journey here has ended, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
