Lewis Charles Woodard, 78, of Beaumont, Texas, passed Aug. 18, 2025.

Services are Saturday: Aug. 30, 2025, Proctor’s Mortuary, 3522 Washington Blvd., Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Houston National Cemetery on Sept. 2, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.

Lewis Woodard was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  He graduated from Cashmere High School.  Upon graduation, he served many years in the United States Army.  He also fought and served in the Vietnam War.  

He has worked many industrial jobs in the Houston area.  He was also a professional artist as has shared his gift all over the metropolitan city of Houston.

He leaves to mourn two living siblings, Debbie Burkes of Beaumont and Patricia Ogboenyiya of Lancaster, a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and last but not least many friends that were labeled as family to him.  

He left a long-lasting impression to all those that looked up to him.  He will forever be remembered in all our hearts.  Wishing him peace and thanking him for the quiet strength he shared. His memory will always bring warmth and gratitude. Gone but never forgotten.
