Colony Ridge sports bar shooting suspect identified, now wanted for two murders

Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano has been identified as the suspect in a double murder and shooting of four others at the Alas Locas sports bar in Colony Ridge.

A shooting in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Alas Locos Sports Bar on CR 5018 in Colony Ridge left two men dead and four others injured, according to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators believe the suspect had been inside the bar shortly before the incident and then waited outside in the parking lot before opening fire. Deputies were dispatched around 2:27 a.m. and found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The deceased victims have been identified as 30-year-old Alexis Jasso, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and 43-year-old Francisco Navarrete, who was flown to a Houston hospital and later died on Sept. 8.

The surviving victims are 42-year-old Sandra Patricia Valiz Adrian, who suffered a gunshot wound to her right hand; 40-year-old Aldegundo Alvarez Trujillo, who was shot in the left hand; 34-year-old Jose Rafael Sanchez, who sustained a shoulder wound; and 35-year-old Andres Gonzalez, who was shot in the leg. All four were treated for their injuries and released.

Investigators have identified the suspected shooter as 32-year-old Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, who resides near the sports bar and owns a white full-size construction-style van. A murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.

On Sept. 8, investigators executed a search warrant at Cantillano’s residence but did not locate him. Later that evening, deputies returned to the property and arrested his wife, 23-year-old Alejandra Marie Valdez Montoya, for tampering with evidence. She was transported to the Liberty County Jail without incident.

Cantillano remains at large and is believed to be driving the white van. Authorities say he may be traveling toward either the New Orleans, Louisiana, or Atlanta, Georgia areas.
