Milton Lee Martin

Milton Lee Martin, 64, of Old River-Winfree, Texas, passed away on Sept. 16, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1961, in Houston, Texas, to Gene Allen Martin and Leona Eula Cleveland.

Milton made his home in the Dayton area for the past 50 years and was a proud graduate of Joaquin High School, Class of 1980. Known for his strong work ethic and love of conversation, Milton never met a stranger. He had a big personality and a bigger heart, always ready with a story, a laugh, or a helping hand.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing on a quiet day, shooting pool with friends, and listening to his favorite country music tunes. Milton enjoyed a good beer, a lively party, and, most of all, the company of his family.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Leona, and his brother Gary Stevens.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Rhonda Martin; his children Jody Martin, Chris LaFour, Lee Ann Masterson and husband R.J., and Kacey Martin and husband Chad Buck; his grandchildren James Martin, Livia Martin, and Beau LaFour; brothers John Stevens and his twin brother Mark Martin; sisters Jeannie Davis and Sheryl Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.

Milton’s memory will live on through the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave to all who knew him.
