Ruby Elizabeth Hopson was born in Shreveport, La., on May 8, 1933, to parents, James Kendrick and Francis Lillian Lowry Kendrick. She passed away Sept. 17, 2025, in Cleveland, Texas, at the age of 92.
Ruby was a Baptist and a member of the American Legion. Her greatest love in life was for her family. She enjoyed all the holidays and get togethers that she got to spend with them. Ruby will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Francis Lillian Kendrick; husband, Edward Lee Hopson Sr.; daughters, Sharon Hopson and Teresa Hopson; granddaughter, Kay Jacobs; grandson, Larry Harcrow Jr. Ruby is survived by her beloved children, Ruby Jo Cochrell, Edward Hopson Jr. and wife Kim, Janice Harcrow and husband Larry, and Harold Hopson and wife Trudy; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. Ruby’s funeral will be on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at 10 a.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with Pastor George Droddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Howard, Shannon Hopson, Jeremy Shackford, Keegan Hopson, Cory Harcrow, and Colbe Harcrow.



So sorry for your loss. Even though it has been years since I saw her i often thought about her. She was a sweet lady and will be missed. Rest In Peace Ms. Ruby.
