Margaret L. Pennington was born Aug. 6, 1927, in Berea, Ky., to parents, Thomas E. Taylor and Della M. Cummins Taylor. She entered Heaven’s Gates on Sept. 27, 2025, at the age of 98. Margaret lived a full life and went on trail rides with her husband Charles for 10 years. Charles bought her a Driving School that she owned and operated for 20 years. Margaret was on the board and a volunteer at the Senior Citizen Center in Coldspring for over 30 years. The most important part of her life was for God and her family. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Camilla, and she went to every function that her grandkids were involved in. Margaret will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who loved her.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Della Taylor; beloved husband, Charles B. Pennington; grandchild, Ryland Pyron; sister, Bet. She is survived by her children, Chuck Pennington and wife Tina, Kim Forward and husband Kurt, and Kathy Terry; grandchildren, Chelsea Reed and husband Chris, Dustin Forward and wife Kristina, Garrett Forward and wife Nikki, Zachary Loyd, Sophie Pennington, and Chloe Pennington; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Makaeli, Camden, Abigail, Gavin, Kelcie, Lane, Raelyn, and Hannah.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, from 1-2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church Camilla. Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Bro. Mike Richard officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Coldspring. Pallbearers for the service will be, Zachary Loyd, Dustin Forward, Garrett Forward, Lane Pyron, Kurt Forward, and Chuck Pennington. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Senior Citizens Center in Coldspring.
