Third suspect arrested in Cleveland septic company arson case

Nugent, Kira Paige

Another arrest has been made in connection with the arson that caused extensive damage to Anytime Septic Solutions on N. Washington Ave. in Cleveland on July 11, 2025.

According to the Cleveland Police Department, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division have spent several months actively pursuing leads in the case. Their investigation recently led them to Aransas County, in the Corpus Christi and Rockport area, where they gathered additional information that resulted in a new arrest.

Detectives J. Shaver and K. Cooke said, “You never know how far or where information and investigative leads will take you.” They added that their long, four-hour trip to South Texas “proved positive.”

Based on their findings, investigators secured an arrest warrant for Kira Paige Nugent, 24, of Aransas Pass. Nugent was taken into custody by the Aransas County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 26, 2025. Police said Nugent has ties to Liberty County, specifically the Hull-Daisetta area.

Two other suspects, Hunter Ray Eakin, 22, of Liberty, and Michael Manna Cradduck, 36, of Cleveland, were previously arrested in connection with the case. Eakin was taken into custody on Aug. 13, while Cradduck was arrested on Aug. 22. Both face charges of arson, a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Investigators said Eakin was unemployed at the time of the fire, while Cradduck was employed by Texas Septic Solutions.

The fire destroyed three vehicles and caused significant damage to the business’s building. Surveillance footage reportedly showed an unidentified person intentionally setting the blaze, which quickly engulfed the vehicles. The business was closed at the time, and damages were estimated at approximately $500,000.

On Monday, Sept. 29, Cleveland police officers traveled to Aransas County to extradite Nugent to the Cleveland Police Department Jail on an outstanding warrant for arson, a second-degree felony. She was later transported to the Liberty County Jail, where Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Stephen Hebert set her bond at $50,000.

Detectives continue to investigate and ask anyone with additional information about the case to contact the Cleveland Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 281-592-2622 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867. Callers may remain anonymous.
