Months of hard work, early mornings, and late nights in the barn paid off for local 4-H and FFA students at this year’s Trinity Valley Exposition Youth Livestock Auction.
On Friday morning, Oct. 17, bidders poured their support into the young exhibitors’ efforts, spending $375,997 on the 24 grand and reserve champion projects. The total marks a remarkable 74 percent increase over last year’s $216,249, underscoring how much the community values investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Bill and Tammie Wingfield of Moss Hill, Texas, who were recognized by the TVE organization as the top buyers at last year’s auction, once again showed remarkable generosity. Through their businesses — Maci Feed Store, Wingfield Construction, and 2830 Mini Storage — the Wingfields spent more than $118,000 on eight of the top 24 items.

Other leading bidders included Premier Roofing, Kinder Morgan, Texas Feed Stop, Wowco, Fregia Construction, One Point Five, A&H Services, Andco, Alexander Mealer, First Liberty National Bank, Gallery Furniture, Next Gen, and a bidder identified only as Taylor. Bluebonnet News regrets being unable to determine the first name or the full name of that organization amid the excitement of the fast-paced auction.
