Mable Lynn August-Williams, 60, of Highlands, Texas, passed Oct. 03, 2025.

Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at Proctor’s Mortuary, 518 Miller St., Anahuac, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Godfrey Cemetery Wallisville, Texas.

Mable Lynn August Williams was born May 4, 1965, in Anahuac, Texas to the late Estus Speights and Stella August.

 Mable grew up in Wallisville, Texas. She attended the Anahuac Independent School District. She fellowshipped with Pentecostal Church of God in Christ and St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir. Later she fellowship with By Faith Deliverance Holiness Church in Liberty, Texas. She married Lawrence Godfrey and later in life she married Arthur Williams. She loved to fish, play bingo, attending game rooms and casinos. She enjoyed going out to lunch and dinner with her children and grandchildren.

 She is preceded in death by her parents: Estus Speights and Stella August; grandparents: Edmond August and Mable Green (Otis); brother: Orell August; sisters: Linda August and Alice McZeal; grandchildren: Dayteyana Chapman and Baby T; and son-in-law Michael Chapman, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son Lawrence Godfrey, Jr. (Tracey) of Baytown, Texas; one daughter Kimberly Godfrey of Wallisville, Texas; four brothers: Anthony August (Shirley), Michael August, Terry Raymond, Prince Raymond; two sisters: Maxine Hutcherson and Audrey Anderson; four

granddaughters:  Katelynn Godfrey, Leilyah Chapman, Nyah Chapman, Zana Simmons; one grandson: Michael Chapman, Jr.; and one great grandson: Kaidien Simmons; special daughter:  Danielle Humphrey; two special sons: Donald Powell  and Jecolby Johnson; two god-daughters: Jasmine Antione and Perris Loften; one  aunt:  Glenda Merl Blue; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, a special  friend Darrel Ceasar; and Jeanie a special friend
