The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing Dream Furniture in Liberty for an extraordinary act of kindness toward one of its employees.
An employee of the Sheriff’s Office, who has been battling a serious illness for more than a year, recently needed an electric recliner to help with the loss of strength caused by their condition. Upon learning of the need, several coworkers began collecting funds to purchase the recliner.
During the effort, one of the employees visited Dream Furniture in Liberty and spoke with co-owner Sandra Garcia to explain the situation. After hearing the story, Sandra and her husband, Sandro Garcia, who co-own Dream Furniture, decided they wanted to help.
The Garcias donated a brand-new electric recliner to the employee and personally delivered and set it up at the employee’s home.
Dream Furniture is locally owned and operated by Sandro and Sandra Garcia and has three locations — 820 Main St., Suite A, Liberty; 2212 N. Main St., Liberty; and 508 N. Winfree St., Dayton.
On behalf of Sheriff Bobby Rader and the entire Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, the agency extends its sincere gratitude to Sandro and Sandra Garcia and everyone at Dream Furniture for their generosity and compassion. Their kindness is a shining example of community spirit and support for those in need.
