Briscoe Cain, Texas House District 128 and Republican candidate for U.S. Congressional District 9

Briscoe and Bergundi Cain

State Rep. Briscoe Cain discusses his run for the newly created U.S. Congressional District 9, saying the “mission’s pretty simple, which is to go to Washington and help Trump succeed in his second term.” Cain shares how his political career began as “an outgrowth of my faith,” and dives into major issues including border security—where he argues Texas’ recent actions have led to “zero illegal crossings”—public education, election integrity, infrastructure needs in Liberty County, and the challenges of balancing legislative work with family life. He also explains why he believes “we’ve got to clear house, purge these woken educators out of our classroom,” and why securing the border, strengthening schools, and protecting elections are central to his campaign.
