Mark seeking reelection as Liberty County Democratic Party chair

Michael A. Mark has filed for another term as Liberty County Democratic Party chair.

Mark was born and raised in Liberty County. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1987, the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and the University of Houston Law Center in 1995. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and in the District of Columbia.

Before being elected Liberty County Democratic Party chair in 2016, Mark served on the Liberty City Council from 2000 to 2004 and on the Chambers-Liberty County Navigation District from 2004 to 2008.

He also served as president of the Liberty Rotary Club from 2003 to 2004 and is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Revolution and the General Society of the War of 1812.

A lifelong Democrat, Mark has worked with local Democratic leaders John and Nancy Archer and Judge J.C. “Zeke” Zbranek to elect Democrats to local office. Over the past decade, he has focused on recruiting candidates and working with local officials to make Liberty County a safer and more prosperous place for all residents.
