Teen reported missing from Colony Ridge neighborhood; family seeking answers

Carlos Sella

A 17-year-old boy went missing Wednesday morning after leaving his home in the Colony Ridge community south of Plum Grove, and his family is asking for the public’s help in locating him.

The teen, identified as Carlos Sella, disappeared from his home at 804 CR 5730 around 6:30 a.m. Nov. 19.

According to his family, surveillance video from a neighbor’s property shows Carlos getting into a white sedan before leaving the area. It is not yet known who was driving the car or whether Carlos entered the vehicle voluntarily.

Carlos’ parents, Carlos and Barbra Sella, said he has been living with them for about a year after moving from Florida, where he previously lived with his biological mother. They are unsure whether he may have been picked up by friends, contacted by his biological mother, or abducted.

His disappearance was discovered Wednesday afternoon when he failed to get off the school bus. When the family contacted the school, they learned that Carlos had never arrived on campus that morning.

The Sellas are urgently seeking answers and are asking anyone with information about Carlos or the white sedan to come forward.

The family has reported his disappearance to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information should call 936-336-4500.

  1. A taco stand, a possible abduction, trashed out yard and a puppy covered in mange all in one photo / article. Could it get any more Colony Ridge?

    • Sammy I wonder how much money Republicans made off Colony Ridge. With all those individual plots of land they sold , some people got rich.

      • I wonder how much more ignorant someone could sound. You really should at least say it before you post it. Maybe that way you would hear your own ignorance.
