Election Night Results: Liberty County voters decide key races in primary election

Polls have closed across Liberty County, and election results for the March 3 Republican and Democratic primary elections will begin coming in throughout the evening.

Bluebonnet News will update this story as vote totals are reported by the Liberty County Elections Office. Several local races on the ballot — including Pct. 2 Commissioner, Pct. 4 Commissioner, Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace, Pct. 5 Justice of the Peace and the 75th State District Court judge — could potentially result in runoff elections depending on the final vote totals.

To avoid a runoff election, a candidate must receive more than 50 percent of the vote. If no candidate reaches that threshold in a race with multiple contenders, the top two vote-getters will advance to a runoff election expected to be held in June.
