Cleveland ISD launches ‘Beyond the Silhouette’ for Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, Cleveland ISD is inviting the community to participate in a weekly interactive challenge titled Beyond the Silhouette: Women of Cleveland.

The first silhouette will be posted on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, on the district’s homepage and Facebook page.

Here are a few clues about the woman featured in the first challenge. She is:

• A proud Cleveland native with deep family roots in Liberty County dating back more than a century
• Someone whose journey began with service to the local community long before stepping into a major leadership role
• A former Tiger softball standout who played first base and developed teamwork, discipline, and resilience early on
• A dedicated fourth-grade teacher and coach who shaped lives in the classroom before moving into community leadership

To participate:

• Visit the Cleveland ISD homepage to view the silhouette and the first set of clues: https://www.clevelandisd.org
• Then head to the Cleveland ISD Facebook page for additional hints and submit a guess in the comments: https://www.facebook.com/ClevelandISD

A new woman will be featured each week throughout the month.

At the end of March, a prize drawing will take place. Participants who submitted guesses during the month will have an opportunity to win.

The entire Cleveland community is encouraged to join the fun, stay engaged, and help celebrate the women who have made a lasting impact locally.
