A new chapter is taking shape on Main Street in Daisetta. The long-anticipated Community Building, now nearing completion, is already being called one of the brightest additions to the Hull–Daisetta area.
Spanning nearly 12,000 square feet, the facility is in its final phase of construction. Crews are completing the finishing touches, with a final walkthrough inspection scheduled soon. Once complete, the keys will be officially turned over to the City of Daisetta.
The project began in 2021 and was funded entirely through grant dollars from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Much of the vision for the building is credited to Daisetta Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Burchfield, who set out to create a shared space not only for Daisetta, but also for the surrounding communities of Hull and Raywood.
With a total investment of more than $4 million, the facility represents a significant commitment to the future of the area. Designed as a multi-purpose venue, it will host community events, gatherings, and celebrations for years to come.
The calendar is already beginning to fill. The first scheduled event will be hosted by the Hull-Daisetta Golden Oldies on Sept. 4. Plans for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house are in development and will be announced soon.
As the final details come together, the new Community Building stands as a symbol of what can be accomplished through vision, persistence, and community partnership, offering a welcoming space where neighbors can gather and memories can be made for generations.
