
Armilda “Jane” Stubbs Davenport, 87, of Houston, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, in Kingwood.
Jane was born October 3, 1938, in Baytown, to parents; Tracy and Lorene Marshall Stubbs, a former resident of Barbers Hill, and has resided in Houston for the past two years. She was a graduate of Barbers Hill High School, a homemaker, and member of the Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God Church. Jane also enjoyed crocheting, needlepointing, and cooking.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years: Charles Lee Davenport, son: Robert Wayne Davenport, daughter: Laura Ann Davenport, sister: Velma Stubbs Green, and brother: Jerome Stubbs. She is survived by her daughter: Rebekah “Becky” Yarbrough and husband Rod and children: Rodney Yarbrough and wife Sarah, Marlin Pierce, Zac Pierce, and Tracy Pierce, great-grandchildren: Charlie and Alex, daughter: Sarah Jane Pierce Gray and husband Kevin and children: Marlin Pierce and his children: Hunter, Isabella, Beatrice, Abigail, Kinleigh, Zachary Pierce and his fiancée Taylor, Tracy Pierce and his children Alexandria, Evalina, , numerous other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Tilton Cemetery in Old River/Winfree.
