Audrey Belle Bonsall Smart, 89, of Liberty, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Grace House Assisted Living Center in Liberty.
Audrey was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Orangefield, to parents Shelton John and Ortie Mary Bergeron Bonsall and has resided in Liberty since 1954. She was a retired secretary after many years of employment with D.R. Smart Trucking, the county courthouse, and also operated boutiques. Audrey was a faithful member of the New Work Family Worship Center. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and painting.
Mrs. Smart was preceded in death by her parents: Shelton and Ortie, husband: Donald Ray Smart, and sisters: Annie V. Lewis and Hilda Mae Plummer.
She is survived by her children: Arnold Smart and wife Arlene, John Smart and wife Carol, Carolyn McGee and husband Keith, and grandchildren: Jeffrey Smart and wife Katie, Shane Smart and wife Allie, Kyle Smart and wife Lindsay, Kristy McDaniel and husband Eric, Kirk Smart and wife Ashley, Darrell Cude and wife Ashleigh, and Randi Robles and husband Armando, great-grandchildren: Isabel Sims and husband Johnathan, Jace Smart, Julianna Smart, Luke Smart, Mayes Smart, Mills Smart, Ryland Smart, Avery Smart, Remington Smart, Caitlyn McDaniel, Carleigh McDaniel, Clara Smart, Cam Smart, Jaxon Cude, Dossen Cude, Barrett Cude, Camille Robles, Lillian Robles, Charlotte Robles, Carson Robles, and Miranda Robles, great great-grandson: Nathanael Sims, numerous other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel with interment following at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty.
