A ribbon cutting was held April 18 at Paradise Acres RV Resort in Dayton, marking a fresh start for a park that many in the area have known for years.

The event was hosted by the resort alongside the Trinity Valley Chamber of Commerce at the park’s location at 1567 CR 486, Dayton.

Owned by husband-and-wife team Kelly Oldenkamp and Meadow Noyer, the property was purchased in August 2025. For more than a decade before that, it operated as Liberty RV Park. After taking over, the couple rebranded it as Paradise Acres RV Resort and immediately got to work making improvements.

Additional photos show some of the amenities at Paradise Acres RV Resort, including recreational areas and recent upgrades made since the new ownership took over.

Those improvements are easy to spot. The park now features a dedicated dog park, fittingly named the “Paradise Acres Dog Bark,” along with a catch-and-release fishing pond and a game room for families. Residents can also enjoy a playground, frisbee golf, horseshoe pits, basketball hoops and tetherball.

Oldenkamp and Noyer have also focused on upgrading the park itself. Most of the 50 RV sites now offer full hookups with 30/50-amp service. They said more sites are planned, including pull-through spots that allow RVs to drive straight through instead of backing in, making it easier for larger rigs to get positioned. Cabins are also in the works.

The park offers daily, weekly, and monthly stays, with monthly rates starting at $450 plus electricity. Residents have access to free Wi-Fi and a temperature-controlled laundry room with three coin-operated washers and dryers.

Amenities are currently reserved for residents, though the owners said they hope to open a store in the future that will be available to the public. They are also looking ahead to hosting events, including a possible frisbee golf tournament.

Security has also been a priority, with 24-hour surveillance and on-site management. Noyer said residents of the park have shown appreciation for the fact that Oldenkamp is a regular presence, often seen out and about checking on things and visiting with residents.
