
Billy “Bill” G. Gilbert, Jr., 77, of Deer Park, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence.
Bill was born May 9, 1948, in Liberty, to parents; Billy Guinn Gilbert, Sr. and Martha Jane Willcox Gilbert, a former resident of Anahuac, and has resided in Deer Park for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Anahuac High School, received his associate degree from San Jacinto Community College, and was a retired instrument analyst technician from Air Liquide after 40 years of employment. Bill also enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on the water, and traveling, where he travelled the Amazon river basin fishing.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents and nephew: Cory Gilbert.
He is survived by his daughter: Danielle N. Gilbert, sister: Janie Gilbert Seidel and husband Louis, brother: Tommy Gilbert and wife Debra, Grandson: Kyle Blackwell, nephews: Tommy Gilbert, Jr., Chad Clark and wife Wendy, and Thad LeNormand and wife Stacy, niece: Shannon Bagent, great-nephew: Hunter Bagent, great-nieces: Saige LeNormand and Abby Burnaman, numerous other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Anahuac with interment following at the Anahuac Cemetery.
