Under brilliant blue skies and near-perfect spring temperatures, the Liberty County Master Gardeners’ 2026 Spring Plant Sale blossomed into a vibrant success on Saturday, April 25. Hosted at 501 Palmer St., in Liberty, the event drew a steady stream of local residents eager to refresh their gardens and connect with fellow plant enthusiasts.

Rows of lush greenery and colorful blooms welcomed visitors, offering something for gardeners of every skill level. Shoppers browsed an impressive selection of Texas natives, pollinator-friendly plants, and a mix of annuals and perennials chosen to thrive in the Southeast Texas climate. From hardy landscaping staples to eye-catching seasonal color, the sale provided inspiration for transforming outdoor spaces across the county.

The Liberty County Master Gardners would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the community for its strong turnout and continued support. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit educational programs led by the Master Gardeners, an initiative of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. These programs aim to promote sustainable gardening practices, environmental stewardship, and horticultural education throughout the region.

Beyond the plants themselves, one of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for attendees to speak directly with certified Master Gardeners. These knowledgeable volunteers were on hand to answer questions, offer planting advice, and help visitors select the best options for their unique landscapes.

For those who missed the event, the Liberty County Master Gardeners emphasize that their work continues year-round. Residents are encouraged to stay connected through the group’s Facebook page, where updates on monthly meetings, workshops, and future events are regularly posted.
