Gary Dean Hicks was born March 19, 1946, in Paris, Tenn., to parents, Noel Jefferson Hicks and Martha Lucille Coleman Hicks. He passed away in Coldspring, Texas, on May 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Gary proudly served our country in the US Navy during Vietnam. He returned home and became a commercial electrician.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Martha Hicks; brother, Nolan Hicks. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Fran Hicks; beloved daughters, Sharon Marie Pruitt and husband Michael, and Cheryl Lynn Chapman and husband Michael; beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Allison, Morgan, and Blake.
Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2 p.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Coldspring with Pastor Dalton Currie officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy.
