Ruby Marie Cannon

Ruby Marie Cannon, 94, of Bullard, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 12, 2026. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday afternoon, May 18, 2026, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard, to begin at 2 p.m. A visitation will begin at 1 p.m., prior to the service. Reverend Keith Lough and Reverend Kevin Lough will officiate the service. Interment will be at Whitehouse Cemetery following the service.

Ruby was born in Colorado, on Sept. 21, 1931, to parents Walter and Golda Jaco. Ruby married the love of her life, her husband, Rev. James F. Cannon Sr., and together they created a beautiful life/family. Ruby was a hard worker, a devoted wife and mother, and friend to all. Ruby was proud to be a Pastor’s wife – and enjoyed helping her husband share God’s love. Ruby was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many – she will be missed by all.

Ruby is preceded by her husband, Rev. James F. Cannon Sr., Father, Walter Jaco, Mother, Golda Jaco, Brother, Everett Jaco, Brother, Alvin “Shorty” Jaco, Brother, Melvin Jaco, and  grandchild, Christopher Cannon.

She is lovingly survived by her three children, Jabbo Cannon and his wife Kathy, David Cannon, and his wife MiMi, Cheryl Mayes and her husband Tim, 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Cannon, Ryan Cannon, Justin Mayes, Dawson Drake, Bailey Brown, and Bryley Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Drake, Joe Brown, Caleb Drake, Cade Drake, and Jay Cannon.
