John Reid Parker was born on June 14, 1945, in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents, James Lynn Parker and Mildred Allee Clack Parker. He passed away in Kingwood, Texas, on May 22, 2026, at the age of 80.
John proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a plant operator before his retirement. John married Patricia Ann and had a large and loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lynn and Mildred Allee Parker; beloved wife, Patricia Ann Parker. John is survived by his beloved children, Sharon Diane Burns, Jo Ann Mitchell, John Willis Parker, Brent Eugene Parker, Bryan Mitchell Parker, Brandon Karl Parker, Emily Larie Parker, Dora Elaine Jones, and Allie Beth Parker; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Lynn Parker Jr. and Kenneth Lee Parker.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10 a.m., with Pastor George Hayden officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the US Army.
