Alvin Eugene Risner was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Evergreen, Texas, to parents, Alvin Risner and Audrey Ellisor Risner. He passed away in Huntsville, Texas, on June 2, 2026, at the age of 85.
Alvin has worked hard all his life as a truck driver, and logging industry. He loved being in the outdoors, working in the fields or with cattle. Alvin loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by everyone in the Evergreen community. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Audrey Risner; beloved son, Travis Risner. He is survived by his beloved son, Ronald Risner and Frances; beloved daughter, Lacie LaMonica and Jake; beloved grandchildren, Breanna LaMonica, Luke LaMonica, Ashley Sullivan and Adam, Patsy Torres and Lionel, Eric Canfield, and Tommy Whiteley; 6 great-grandchildren; beloved cousin, Alton Risner; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with David Hooker officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Army.
