The Liberty community will have an opportunity to celebrate its newest state champions when the Liberty Lady Panthers softball team is honored with a parade and community celebration on Tuesday, June 16.
The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with a parade recognizing the Lady Panthers and their historic 2026 UIL Class 4A Division II State Championship. Following the parade, a community celebration will be held at the Liberty Gazebo, where players, coaches, families, and supporters will gather to commemorate the team’s remarkable achievement. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the Liberty Center inside City Hall.
The championship celebration comes just weeks after the Lady Panthers capped off another outstanding season with a dominant 12-0 victory over Brock in the UIL Class 4A Division II State Championship game at Red & Charline McCombs Field on May 29.
The state title marks the fourth softball championship in school history, further cementing Liberty’s reputation as one of Texas’ premier high school softball programs.
Tuesday’s parade and celebration will recognize not only the student-athletes who brought home the championship trophy but also the coaches, families, and community members whose support contributed to the team’s success throughout the season.
The Lady Panther softball team will serve as the featured participants in the parade, with championship recognition activities planned during the evening’s festivities.
