Grace Nelleen Wells was born in Plum Grove, Texas, on June 6, 1941, to parents, Clarence Alexander “Fry” Morrow and Gladys Vidor Burton Morrow. She entered Heaven’s Gates on June 12, 2026, at the age of 85.
Nelleen was secretary for the Splendora Elementary School for 35 years. She made many friends along the way, either with faculty members or students. Her greatest love was for her family, and she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them.
Nelleen was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Alexander and Gladys Vidor Morrow; husband, Darwin Allen “Red” Wells; brothers in law, Raymond Wells and Keith Wells; sisters in law, Eddie Prestridge, Dotty LeBlanc, Anna Norris, and Joyce Stubblefield.
Nelleen is survived by her daughter DeAndra Alleen Wells Burnaman; son, Ross Alexander Wells and Richard Daughtry; grandchildren, Bay Hill and Thomas Hill and Alexis Anderson and Mitch Anderson; great-grandchildren, Mason Rollins, Morgan Hill, Jacie Anderson, Payten Anderson, and Braxton Anderson; brothers, Alton Lawrence “Buddy” Morrow and Glenda Morrow, and Curtis Alexander “Alex” Morrow and Fern Morrow; sister in law, Fran Boyett; brother in law, George Stubblefield, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike David officiating. Burial will follow in the Splendora City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Montgomery Wells, Ben Stephens, Wayne Wood, Mark Towler, Jason Morrow, and Dwayne Morrow.
