Members of the Dayton Rotary Club gathered for their annual summer social and officer installation recently at Mimosa Gardens, Dayton’s newest event venue.
The event was hosted by Mimosa Gardens owner Beth Kratovil, who welcomed Rotarians and guests to tour the newly opened facility. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the venue’s amenities and event spaces before the evening’s installation ceremony.
Newly installed Rotary Club President Elizabeth Robertson praised the venue and Kratovil’s hospitality.

“Beth thought of everything,” Robertson said. “The space where the bridal party gets ready is beautifully designed, complete with makeup stations, a shower, shampoo station, and an elevated stage with a three-way mirror, all illuminated by gorgeous chandeliers. Mimosa Gardens is an extraordinary place that can host a variety of parties, events, and reunions. We’re truly grateful to Beth for welcoming us to hold our annual summer social at her beautiful venue.”
In addition to dinner and a facility tour, the club installed its new slate of officers for the coming year. Ernestine Belt, assistant governor for Rotary District 5910, served as the installing officer and administered the oath of office.
The newly installed officers are President Elizabeth Robertson, President-Elect Dr. Travis Young, Treasurer Jennifer Perkins, Secretary Tammy Alexander, and Immediate Past President Dr. Luke Chachere.
The evening also attracted several prospective members and visiting Rotarians from neighboring clubs. Chachere thanked those in attendance and offered special recognition to Kratovil for hosting the event at Mimosa Gardens.
Club members described the evening as a successful kickoff to the new Rotary year, highlighting fellowship, community involvement, and continued service to the Dayton area.
