Vivian Jewel Hightower

Vivian Jewel Hightower was born in Cleveland, Texas, on Jan. 23, 1929, to parents, Frank E. Whitmire and Willie Arona Vick Whitmire. She passed away in Humble, Texas, on July 10, 2026, at the age of 97.

Vivian was a homemaker and provided a warm and loving home for her husband, Thomas J. Hightower and her children, Cameron and Linda. Her family brought so much happiness to her life and she will be greatly missed by everyone that loved her.

She fought a good fight but she was ready to be reunited with her beloved husband. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Willie Whitmire; son, Cameron Hightower; son-in-law, Ron McLain; brothers, Cammid Whitmire, Ervin Whitmire, Raymond Whitmire, and Lubie Whitmire; sisters, Savannah Smith, Irene Holbrook, Addie Belle Bryant, and Gladys Jackson.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Linda McLain; grandchildren, Eddie Hargrove and wife Colleen, Jeff Hargrove, Kelli Bernal and husband Ronald, Amy Grizzaffi and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Kati Herrera and husband J.J., Jacob Hargrove, Anthony Grizzaffi, Rebecca Grizzaffi, and Cameron Bernal; great-great grandchildren, Stryder McIntosh, Beau Burleigh, and Leyton Hargrove; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Edward Wayne Whitmire officiating. Burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers for the service will be, Linda McLain, Eddie Hargrove, Kelli Bernal, Jeff Hargrove, Jacob Hargrove, Cameron Bernal and Anthony Grizzaffi.
