Deacon Larry Wayne Terrell was born in Houston, Texas, on Sept. 19, 1947, to parents, Homer Terrell and Anna Belle Burke Terrell. He passed away in Houston, Texas, on July 13, 2026, at the age of 78.
Larry proudly served our country in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. He worked as supervisor of parks and cemetery for the City of Cleveland. Deacon Larry had a love for God and a servants heart as he worked at his parish at St. Mary’s Catholic Church doing whatever needed to be done.
He was also a member of the Knight’s of Columbus. Larry also was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts. His greatest love in life was for his family and he loved and missed his wife Becky, and he was very proud of their three sons and his grandchildren.
Deacon Larry will be missed by his family, his parish, and the entire Cleveland community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Anna Belle Terrell; beloved wife, Becky Terrell; brother, Lynn Terrell; sister, Joyce Templeton. Larry is survived by his children, Roger Terrell and wife Stacy Ann, Brad Terrell, and Chris Terrell; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Terrell, Eastyn Terrell, and Tyler Terrell.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, on E. Houston St., from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Service starting at 7 p.m. Mass will be Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on E. Houston St. Burial will follow at the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Navy and Liberty VFW.
