The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office wants to make the community aware that the search for Yorlan Rafael Reyes remains active and ongoing.
Reyes is described as a Hispanic male, age 31, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing approximately 190 pounds.
Reyes escaped from lawful custody during the early morning hours of July 18, 2026, while at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. At the time of his escape, he was wearing an orange Liberty County Jail-issued jumpsuit and orange jail-issued shoes. His clothing may have changed since the time of the escape.
Reyes was originally being held on a Liberty County felony warrant for Unlawful Disclosure or Promotion of Intimate Visual Material and also had an active immigration detainer. Since his escape, an additional felony charge of Escape has been obtained.
Investigators with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office continue working alongside state and federal law enforcement agencies in an effort to locate Reyes. Law enforcement personnel are actively following leads, conducting interviews, reviewing digital media, gathering intelligence, and pursuing all available information related to his possible whereabouts.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to using every available resource to locate Reyes and return him to custody. Members of the public are asked to remain alert and immediately report any information that could assist investigators.
Do not attempt to approach, confront, or detain Reyes. Anyone who sees Reyes or believes they know his current location should immediately call 911.
