
Maria Juventina Perez, 73, of Hardin, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at her residence.
Maria was born on Jan. 25, 1953, in Rayon, Tortuga, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Hipolito and Liova Guevara de Maya. A former resident of Houston, she had lived in Hardin for the past 46 years. She graduated from high school in Mexico, retired as a housekeeper, and was a devoted member and acolyte of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Maria enjoyed volunteering in church activities for many years and spending time with her family.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Augustina Maya.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bernardino Perez; her son, George Perez; her daughter, Laura Perez; her granddaughter, Brianna Maria Markham Perez; her brother, Santiago Maya and wife, Angelina Maya; her sisters, Maria del Rosario Rojas and husband, Fernando Rojas, and Maria Elisia Ucia Olmos and husband, Guadalupe Olmos; her nephew, Edgar Fernando Rojas and wife, Victoria Rojas; her niece, Melissa Maya Wetterman and husband, Mathew William Wetterman; her nephew, Eric Olmos and wife, Mirande Michelle Olmos; her great-nephews, Memphis William Wetterman and Macyn Maelie Wetterman; her great-nieces, Maya (Guadalupe) Lupita Wetterman and Aurora Rose Rojas; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 6 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, at Allison Funeral Service Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Liberty Catholic Cemetery.
