Ronald Joe McDaniel, 70, of Anahuac, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at his residence.
Ron (as friends and family called him) was born June 26, 1956, in Newport, Ark., to parents; James Carl “J.C.” McDaniel and Lois Virginia Barnes McDaniel. Ron was a former resident of Newport, Ark., and has resided in Anahuac for the past 46 years. He was a heavy equipment operator all his life and retired working for the Chambers County Solid Waste Department. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, raising cattle, hogs, goats, chickens, geese, and ducks.
Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his parents, son: Ronald J. “Joey” McDaniel, Jr., daughter: Carri Lynn McDaniel Goins, grandson: Cullin Broussard, and sister: Regina Gail McDaniel. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Brenda Marks McDaniel, grandchildren: Christopher Broussard, Bailie McDaniel, and Kyle McDaniel, great-grandchildren: Culynn Broussard and Joey McDaniel, brother: Don McDaniel, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Aug. 1, 2026, at the Anahuac Cemetery Pavillion in Anahuac.
