Peggy Nell Hart, 80, of Hempstead, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at her residence.
Peggy was born March 11, 1946, in Clarksville, to parents. Blackie Hart and Nellie Mae Abraham, a former resident of Bagwell and Houston, she resided in Hempstead for the past 15 years. She was a former antique store owner and model for Calgon commercials and was a retired caregiver. Peggy enjoyed antiques, gardening, riding horses, caring for her cats and the outdoors in general.
Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by her father: Blackie Hart, mother: Nellie Mae Abraham Stansbury, grandson: Chad Phillips, siblings: James A. Garrison, David Hart, Larry P. Hart, Ricky Hart, Donnie Garrison, Dorthy Green. Joann Garrison, and Darlene Hill.
She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Phillips Moran and Sandra K. Offutt, siblings: Barbara Taylor, Wilma Salazar, Sheila Holloway, Donice Leatherwood, and Glenda Peoples, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
