Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Wings Over Houston Airshow, which returns to Ellington Airport Oct. 31-Nov. 1 for its 42nd consecutive year.
The annual event will feature two headline jet teams — the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and NASA’s “Freedom 250” F-5 demonstration team — along with military aircraft, historic warbirds and aerial demonstrations. Tickets are available at www.wingsoverhouston.com.
Making its Wings Over Houston debut, the Freedom 250 F-5 demonstration team was created by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. The four jets are painted in a red, white and blue commemorative scheme, and one aircraft will be available for public viewing on static display.
“For 42 years, Wings Over Houston has brought our community together to celebrate the very best of aviation,” said Bill Roach, executive director of Wings Over Houston Airshow. “There’s no better way to mark America’s 250th birthday than putting two headline jet teams in the sky over one show. Our Vietnam Heritage tribute will honor the veterans who are part of that story. And as always, we’ll spend the weekend doing what we do best, inspiring the next generation of pilots and aerospace leaders.”
Additional flying demonstrations will include the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III and KC-46A Pegasus. Other featured performers include Tora! Tora! Tora!, the RE/MAX Skydive Team and The Pink Jet, an L-39 Albatros flown by women pilots to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The event’s Vietnam Heritage tribute will feature three rare warbirds: the Collings Foundation’s F-4D Phantom II, the world’s only airworthy aircraft of its kind; the Foundation’s F-100F Super Sabre, one of only two still flying; and the Vietnam War Flight Museum’s A-4 Skyhawk.
On the ground, attendees will be able to view a B-52 Stratofortress, C-5 Galaxy, KC-135 Stratotanker and the C-121A Constellation from Lewis Air Legends. Organizers said additional performers and attractions will be announced in the coming weeks.
The event begins with a drive-in-style show Friday, Oct. 30, followed by full airshow performances Saturday and Sunday. Guests can also explore vintage and modern aircraft displays, interactive exhibits for children and adults, the returning Legends & Heroes tent and community service opportunities. United Airlines returns as the event’s exclusive airline sponsor.
The airshow also supports future aviators through its scholarship program, conducted in partnership with aerobatic pilot and Wings Over Houston board member Debby Rihn-Harvey. During the past decade, the program has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to students pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace. This year’s recipients will be recognized during the airshow.
