Liberty County Sheriff’s Office announces new smartphone app

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new smartphone app aimed at giving residents and visitors quicker access to information and another way to stay connected with the agency.

Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader announced the release of the custom application, which is designed to provide information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, TX app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a brand of OCV, LLC., a company specializing in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices and other public safety organizations across the country. The app provides quick access to items of public interest and is designed to be easy to use.

“Over 80 percent of people in the United States own and use smartphones as their primary means of communication,” OCV Partner and CRO Kevin Cummings said. “Mobile apps offer agencies a better way to alert, inform and prepare the public. Apps allow public safety agencies the ability to reach and serve their citizens where they are: their smartphones.”

The app includes several features that allow users to interact with the Sheriff’s Office and find information from their phones. The app includes options to submit a tip, contact the agency, view jail information, see most wanted and sex offender information, learn about the civil division and access other Sheriff’s Office resources.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, TX app is available free through both the Apple App Store and Google Play. Users can find it by searching “Liberty County Sheriff, TX.”
