Ronnie Paul Thorpe was born in Holly Grove, Ark., on Dec. 10, 1935, to parents Newton Paul Thorpe and Essie Malone Thorpe. He entered Heaven’s gates on Sept. 6, 2026, at the age of 90.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Brent Thorpe; sisters, Ruth Standifer, Jane Hester, and Michaella Bradbury. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Anna Thorpe, and her cherished family; son, Tod Thorpe and wife Mary; stepdaughter, Autumn Speegle; sister, Sherry Davis; granddaughter, Nicole Bonnett and husband Kacey; and great-granddaughter, Emery Jackson.
Ron was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas and relished the fellowship of the members in his Life Group. He led a long and storied life, full of travel and adventures that always highlighted his love of nature, flowers, birds, wildlife…. And of course, dogs and horses.
Visitation will be at the Evergreen Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, from 12-1 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. with Dr. Jeff Berger officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
