Linda Kay Buller, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Sept. 15, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on Aug. 11, 1951, in Houston, Texas.
Linda’s life was marked by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and a joyful spirit. She graduated from MacArthur High School in Houston, Texas, and went on to become a teacher and an administrator, roles that reflected her care for others and her commitment to learning and leadership.
In her early years, Linda was adventurous and full of energy. She was a cheerleader, enjoyed riding horses, played softball, and spent happy times playing with her sisters. She also liked working at her father’s print shop. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling with family and made a tradition of yearly vacations and hunting trips to Colorado, especially to Silverton and Durango.
Linda found great happiness in the simple and beautiful things that made life special. She loved game shows, especially The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Survivor, and American Idol, and she always enjoyed a good movie. She was known for her pink lipstick and for her love of iris flowers, hydrangeas, and gardenias. She also loved cooking for family and friends, and many will fondly remember Linda’s famous pies, especially her coconut and chocolate pies. Before every meal, Linda always prayed, a reflection of the faith and gratitude that were part of her daily life. Meme loved her grandkids and was always there, showing up for their school events and sporting events. Of all the roles she held, the ones she treasured most were being a mother and a meme. Her love for her family was at the center of her life and was felt in the meals she prepared, the traditions she kept, the trips she shared, and the care she gave so freely.
Linda is survived by her children, Kristy Buller, Chad Buller, and John Buller, and by her daughter-in-law, Jana Buller. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lacy Thompson, Gauge Hancock, Juliet Buller, Jett Buller, and Jake Vaughn, as well as her great-grandchildren, Austin Morris and Ripley Bullock. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry Gilmore. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of her love, warmth, strength, and the special joy she brought to their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Buller with whom she spent over 40 years of her life, a true symbol of love and devotion.; her father, Jack Black; her mother, Iris Ward Black; and her sister, Diane Scott.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family on Sept. 20, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m., at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, TX 77327. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home.
Linda Kay Buller will be remembered with deep love and gratitude, for the life she lived, the family she cherished, and the many lasting memories she leaves behind.
