Richard Lynn Shrader was born Jan. 20, 1956, in Cleveland, Texas, to parents, William Ralph Shrader Sr. and Marilyn Virginia Allen Shrader. He passed away in Houston, Texas, on Sept. 19, 2026, at the age of 70.
Richard worked in the loading department at the CVS warehouse for 35 years. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Richard had many friends throughout his lifetime and always enjoyed their company. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Shrader Sr and Marilyn Virginia Shrader; grandparents, J.T and Ollie Shrader.
He is survived by his brother, William Ralph Shrader Jr; ex sister-in-law, Dawn Byers; nephews, B.J. Shrader and Dawnelle, Galin Byers and Rachel, Delbert Joyner, Christian Joyner, Dean Joyner, Wyatt Joyner, Tommy Roane and Laurie; nieces, Madeline Joiner, Keely Jackson and Cole, Layla Joyner, Annabelle Shrader, Heidi Shrader, Lila Shrader, Wendy Byers; great niece, Krockett Roane; great nephew, Kane Roane.
Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, from 9-10 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas.
