James Duane Franklin, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, was born on Feb. 9, 1998, in Humble, Texas. He passed away on Sept. 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories cherished by all who knew and loved him.
James was a hardworking man who worked as a mechanic. He took pride in working with his hands and was someone who could be counted on to give his best. He loved his family and friends dearly, but there was a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephew. They brought him great joy, and the time he spent with them will always be treasured.
James enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing. He appreciated spending time in nature and having quiet moments to himself. Although he was often comfortable spending time alone, James had begun to enjoy being around others more and making memories with the people in his life. Those who knew him will remember his unique personality, his hard-working nature, and the love he had for his family.
James is survived by his father, Keith Duane Franklin; his mother, Jessie Ilene James; his sister, Taylor Kaylene Daniels and husband Steven; his uncle, Mike Franklin; his cousins, Angie Wilson and Shelby Dobson, his beloved nieces, Remie Daniels, and Hadlee Daniels, and nephew, Jaxen Daniels ; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Nancy James, and Dan and Bobby Franklin; Zachary Davidson; his aunt, Donna Franklin; and his first cousin, Brian Roberts.
James will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Though his time on earth was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest peacefully, forever remembered and forever loved.
