
Robert Lavere “Bob” Glatfelter Jr., 83, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at his residence.
Bob was born Jan. 25, 1943, in York, Penn., to Robert Lavere Glatfelter and Virginia Rae Miller Glatfelter. He had resided in Dayton for the past 47 years.
Bob graduated from West York High School. He worked as a mechanic and retired from Enterprise Petrochem. He enjoyed going to the casino and taking trips to Las Vegas.
Mr. Glatfelter was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Sandra Lauer Glatfelter; his brother, David Glatfelter; and his sister, Rae Glatfelter Potts.
He is survived by his children, Lori Weesner and husband Roy, Marty Jannise and husband Jmmy, Robert “Bobby” Glatfelter and wife Dava, Lisa French and husband Mark, Sharon Riorrdan and husband Roy, and Curtis Glatfelter; his brother, Chris Glatfelter; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
